Forged in Montafon: Our Alpine Proving Ground

Vril-Wings was born in Montafon, a valley renowned for its rough flying conditions. The challenging winds and rugged terrain are not obstacles to us—they are our inspiration and our laboratory. Every wing we design is a direct reflection of this environment. If a wing can excel here, it can excel anywhere. This alpine heritage is embedded in our DNA, ensuring every Vril wing delivers unparalleled stability and performance when it matters most.

  • The Vision of a Pilot

    The founder, Johannes "Joke" Tschofen, has lived and breathed paragliding for decades. As a full-time test pilot and developer since 2009, he has flown and analyzed countless wings. But he always saw an opportunity for something more—for wings that weren't just iterations of old designs, but fresh, innovative concepts that could open up new possibilities for pilots.

    In 2021, he founded Vril-Wings to bring that vision to life. His mission was simple: to create wings with unique features, fresh ideas, and an unmistakable feeling of connection between the pilot and the sky.

    An idea is only as good as its execution. That's why we exclusively partner with Skysport in Sri Lanka for our production. With over 25 years of experience, Anupa Chanandre and his team are masters of their craft, known throughout the industry for their precision and exceptional quality. This long-standing collaboration ensures that every stitch, every line, and every cell in a Vril wing is crafted to perfection.
